Shockley’s paintings are any surrealist’s dream. Shockley is a tremendous painter who apprenticed with Tom Sachs. In this piece, the curtain of lily pads sets the stage for nature to take front and center.
Drawn to the simplicity of Potter’s work, this is a piece that Tessa Blumenberg would love to see hung in her home. Potter captures the beauty in private moments while creating a hidden dialogue with the historical reference of Olympia by Manet in the background.
Prensena captures an immediately recognizable morning for any active hiker in Los Angeles. The marine layer is hauntingly beautiful – you can almost hear the waves crashing in the background.
This piece is a true conversation starter. Lamb’s sculpture is brushed with a beautiful silver and gold patina that is quite striking. It shows a beautiful juxtaposition with these two female fists bonded together that embody strength and power.
This is a core piece iconography from Celaya’s body of work. The Miami Art Museum featured four expansive pieces from his sold out collection. This print captures the essence of the series but scaled down the size to make it the perfect addition for any collector’s home. Fun Fact: The Cowboy Junkies used Celaya’s images for their XX album release.
Fluctuat Nec Mergitur is the motto of the city of Paris that gives a nod to the historic resilience of humanity during times of great uncertainty.
Crosher’s series Out The Window speaks to the alienation that’s in the background within LA methodology that comes with transiency and the worlds that people inherently inhabit as they travel. When read through the lens of our current situation, this photograph takes a whole new meaning as transiency is transformed into permanency.
This is a great example of Hopkins’ decisive style of street photography. This greeting becomes a moment that is preserved in time – a wonderful artifact of photographic history.
Jonathan T.D. Neil has always been a fan of Khedoori’s work. The chain-link fence portrayed in this piece becomes metaphoric for so many social and political moments that we’re witnessing during this time. The subtle nature of architectural elements found in her body of work is referential and becomes a condensation of meanings that is beautiful to own.
The artist has a great sense of humor that is displayed throughout his series of 100% recycled plastic benches. First’s bench becomes a perfect statement to set our intention during these challenging times.
