Community Engagement

Venice Family Clinic empowers patients with tools and resources that help them get well and stay that way. We help patients enroll in health insurance programs, participate in community events, provide a formal way for them to give input back to the Clinic, and engage them in advocating for their health care rights.

Everyone is entitled to quality health care

Venice Family Clinic’s team of case managers help people enroll in and maintain insurance coverage through Medi-Cal, Covered California, Medicare and other local programs. Today, more of our patients have insurance than ever before, which means they are better equipped to get healthy and stay healthy.

Health Fairs and Community Events

Reaching out to the community

Venice Family Clinic hosts public health events and participates in a number of health fairs and community events throughout the year. Each year in August, we host activities at multiple locations as part of National Health Center Week.

Patient Advisory Council

Our patients are our best advocates

Venice Family Clinic engages the community and listens to the voices of our patients. We hold regular meetings with a patient advisory council, a group of patients who volunteer their time to give feedback on how we can improve.


Championing our patients' rights

The Clinic’s Public Policy Committee and advocacy team, in combination with a network of patients and other supporters, work to advance public policies that will help the people and community we serve. Together, we work with policymakers and elected officials, and we take action when necessary.
