To improve the health of people and communities through accessible, quality care.
To provide quality primary health care to people in need.
Venice Family Clinic was started in 1970 by Philip Rossman, MD, founder, and Mayer B. Davidson, MD, co-founder. Back then, volunteer physicians provided basic medical care in a borrowed storefront dental office after normal business hours.
Today, with twelve locations and a robust street medicine program, the Clinic is proud to be a leading community health center in Los Angeles.
The Clinic continues to expand to best meet our community’s needs with an innovative, integrated approach that addresses the unique combination of clinical and social factors that impact our patients’ health. We offer primary and specialty care, behavioral health services, dental care, vision care and more—often all in one visit.

That’s why we’ve partnered with leading doctors and health care facilities across Southern California, including UCLA Health and David Geffen School of Medicine, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente, and Providence Saint John’s Health Center. We also partner with other community organizations and service providers so that our patients have access to all the social and economic programs that will keep them healthy.
