Preparing for your upcoming

We want to make sure you’re prepared for your upcoming appointment with your provider.

Follow these steps before your visit:

  1. Be in a well-lit, quiet and private space.
  2. In order to have a video visit, your device must have a front facing camera.
  3. If you are using a computer or laptop, update your browser to the most recent operating system (ONLY Chrome, Safari, or Firefox will allow you to join a video visit). Download one of these browsers if they are not on your device.
  4. If you are using a phone or tablet, update it to the most recent operating system.
  5. Allow your browser access to BOTH camera and microphone.

      • Navigate to “Websites” and go to Camera and Microphone tabs.
      • Change access to “Allow”
    • For Firefox
      • Click on your appointment link by opening up Firefox.
      • A confirmation pop-up will display asking if you want to share your device’s camera and microphone with that site.
      • Click the “allow” button.
  6. To ensure safety, either connect to a secure and private internet connection or use cellular data.
  7. If you are using headphones, they must have a microphone.
  8. We recommend you run a quick test for your video visit to ensure a successful visit with your provider. You can do that here: https://connect.ottohealth.com/video/test.

You are all set to see your provider! You may be placed in a virtual waiting room until your provider joins.
