VENICE FAMILY CLINIC HOSTED CHILDREN’S HOLIDAY MOVIE CELEBRATION IN INGLEWOOD THIS PAST SATURDAY

Annual Event Brought Local Children and Families Together for a Day of Holiday Fun and Community Connection

INGLEWOOD, CA (December 15, 2025) – Venice Family Clinic’s longstanding Children’s Holiday Movie tradition made its official return this year, debuting in Inglewood for the first time and bringing together local children and families for a day of holiday fun, community connection and healthy celebration. The nonprofit community health center, which annually serves 45,000 people in need across L.A. County, hosted the celebration on December 13 at The Miracle Theater in Inglewood.

Photos and b-roll from the event are available here.

The event’s return, following a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, brought festive cheer to children and their families who live in Inglewood or receive care at Venice Family Clinic’s Inglewood locations. In addition to a screening of the hit holiday movie “Elf,” attendees enjoyed popcorn and refreshments and photo opportunities with Santa, as well as receiving books and toys to take home.

“Children’s Holiday Movie is more than a celebration – it’s an important reminder of what effective community care looks like,” said Dr. Mitesh Popat, MD, MPH, Venice Family Clinic CEO. “For more than a decade, we’ve served Inglewood families with quality, compassionate care. Bringing one of our most cherished traditions here reflects our longstanding dedication to building a lasting foundation for healthier families and a stronger community.”

The Clinic currently delivers high-quality health care and support services through its Inglewood South La Brea Health Center (1091 South La Brea Avenue) and Inglewood North Prairie Health Center (323 North Prairie Avenue), with free food distributions offered exclusively at the South La Brea site. It also provides Early Head Start (10318 Prairie Avenue). In addition to its current Inglewood locations, the Clinic is constructing the Inglewood Crenshaw Children and Family Center – a first-of-its-kind facility projected to open in 2026 that will unite early childhood education, career training and whole-family health care under one roof. Once complete, the new facility will serve more than 4,000 residents annually and set a new standard for community-based care.

This year’s event was held at The Miracle Theater and made possible by contributions from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Net, SSI Post and Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group.
