AUGUST 4-8: VENICE FAMILY CLINIC CELEBRATES NATIONAL HEALTH CENTER WEEK 2025
Clinic to Offer Health Care Enrollment, Immunizations, Healthy Food and Other Services for People in Need and People Experiencing Homelessness
VENICE, CA — Venice Family Clinic, a nonprofit community health center serving 45,000 people in need across the Westside of Los Angeles, Inglewood, the South Bay and everywhere in between, will celebrate National Health Center Week (NHCW) 2025 from August 4-8 with a series of daily events at clinic locations in Inglewood, Venice, Mar Vista and Hawthorne.
National Health Center Week serves as an annual reminder of the vital role health centers play in improving public health and advancing health equity nationwide. As part of this year’s celebration, the Clinic will host a series of community events featuring health care services including immunizations, health insurance and CalFresh/SNAP enrollment, medical checkups and more — all free of charge for all members of the public. Media are also welcome to attend all events listed below.

Venice Family Clinic will host the following activities during National Health Center Week:
Free Food Market + Resource Fair: The Clinic will distribute free healthy fruits and vegetables and provide CalFresh/SNAP and health insurance enrollment, information about Clinic services, immigration and legal aid resources, and blood pressure checks. There will also be walk-in appointments available for mobile mammography.
When: Monday, August 4, 9 a.m. – Noon
Where: Venice Family Clinic’s Inglewood South La Brea Health Center, 1091 S. La Brea Ave., Inglewood, CA 90301.
Homeless Connect Day: People experiencing homelessness can shower, get a free, warm meal, haircuts and grooming, hygiene kits and clean clothing. They can connect with multiple Clinic services, including medical check-ups and immunizations; dental care; testing for HIV, hepatitis and syphilis; DMV services and ID assistance and more.
When: Wednesday, August 6, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Where: Venice Family Clinic’s Chuck Lorre Rose Avenue Health and Wellness Center, 604 Rose Ave., Venice, CA 90291.
Wellness Day: Community members and patients in attendance will enjoy Clinic wellness resources and activities, including group fitness and exercise classes, stress therapy, mental wellness activities and healthy food and refreshments. The Clinic will also help attendees with health insurance and CalFresh/SNAP enrollment; immigration and legal aid resources; and Early Head Start and family resources.
When: Thursday, August 7, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Where: Venice Family Clinic’s Irma Colen Health Center, 4700 Inglewood Blvd, Culver City, CA 90230.
Children’s Health Day: Students and their families get a free back-to-school shopping experience with school supplies and book giveaways, as well as preparation for the upcoming year with immunizations, health insurance and CalFresh/SNAP enrollment and vision services. Other services will be available, including guided Clinic tours, Early Head Start resources and healthy eating information. Children and families can also enjoy face painting, balloon animals, story time and arts and crafts throughout the afternoon.
