By providing accessible and integrated health care to people in need, the National Association of Community Health Centers estimates that these nonprofit health care providers save the health care system more than $24 billion annually in reduced emergency, hospital and specialty care costs.

“Improving the lives and health of the communities we serve is at the heart of Venice Family Clinic’s mission,” said Venice Family Clinic CEO Dr. Mitesh Popat. “National Health Center Week gives us an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the many contributions Venice Family Clinic and our nation’s other community health centers make toward improving our communities’ physical, mental and emotional health, as well as the ways in which we support the social well-being of our patients and promote healthy lifestyles.”

Venice Family Clinic’s comprehensive care includes primary health care, mental health services, dental care, vision services, substance use treatment, prescription medications, domestic violence counseling, HIV services, healthy food distributions, health education, health insurance enrollment, child development services and an expansive street medicine program for people experiencing homelessness.
