Dear Friends,

For the last 40 years, we have hosted our signature fundraising event, Venice Family Clinic Art Walk & Auction. This year, in response to growing concerns about containing the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we have decided to postpone the community celebration previously scheduled for May 3, 2020, and host our art auction exclusively online.

We know Venice Family Clinic Art Walk & Auction is a beloved community tradition – one that allows us to unite with artists and art lovers to provide health care for those in need. We plan to continue this important event for many years to come. At this time, however, shifting to an exclusively online auction is a prudent and responsible course of action to safeguard the entire community’s health and well-being.

This year we honor renowned architect Frank Gehry, who is one of the event’s founders. The online auction will feature over 200 works by nationally recognized contemporary artists, including Kelly Akashi, Peter Alexander, Charles Arnoldi, Gary Baseman, Billy Al Bengston, Kelly Berg, Enrique Martinez Celaya, Greg Colson, Guy Dill, Laddie John Dill, Jean Edelstein, Timo Fahler, FriendsWithYou, Joe Goode, DJ Hall, Channing Hansen, Lynn Hanson, Kenny Harris, Toba Khedoori, Andy Moses, Renee Petropoulos, Vanessa Prager, Ed Ruscha, Alison Saar, Analia Saban, Kim Schoenstadt, Gregory Siff, The Haas Brothers, Vasa, and many more.

As has been true in years past, all artworks will be available for viewing and bidding at a well-established online auction house. We are also currently exploring options that will allow collectors, supporters and the community at large to continue to engage with us in lieu of attending a large public event. We will be sure to keep you posted as we solidify our plans.

Venice Family Clinic Art Walk & Auction owes its success to the collective commitment of many: our artists, sponsors, donors, volunteers and the community. It is one of the Clinic’s biggest fundraisers each year and your continued investment in the health of our community is as critical as ever.

Sincerely,
Elizabeth Benson Forer
