Cooking for Health Academy: Healthy Fats

This series will teach participants about nutrition, food safety, and cooking techniques. Learn about creating healthy and balanced meals that include fruits and vegetables, whole grains and fiber, protein sources, and healthy fats. In this session we will discuss sources of healthy fats that may help with improving our “good” (HDL) cholesterol levels and reduce risk of heart disease. We will discuss the importance of reducing “bad” (saturated) fats with “good” (unsaturated) fats to improve our overall wellbeing.
