This series will teach participants about nutrition, food safety, and cooking techniques. Learn about creating healthy and balanced meals that include fruits and vegetables, whole grains and fiber, protein sources, and healthy fats. You will also learn tips on reducing sodium and sugar to support a healthy lifestyle. Did you know that eating fruits and vegetables as part of an overall healthy diet may reduce the risk of heart disease and may protect against certain types of cancers? In the session, we will discuss the different food groups that create a balanced meal and focus on the importance of including fruits and vegetables in our daily diet. By adding fruits and vegetables in our diet, it can help increase the amount of fiber and potassium we eat.
