National Health Center Week (NHCW) is an annual nationwide celebration designed to raise awareness about the critical role that Community Health Centers like Venice Family Clinic play in providing comprehensive, innovative, and cost-effective care to people in underserved communities. At Venice Family Clinic, it’s our opportunity to highlight the essential care we provide to over 45,000 individuals and families across the Westside, Inglewood, the South Bay and everywhere in between, regardless of ability to pay, immigration status or housing status.
Each year during National Health Center Week, Venice Family Clinic hosts a series of free and family-friendly events across our Clinic sites to reach people who need it most, including neighbors who are living unsheltered. We provide essential services including free health care services & screenings, school supplies, healthy food, immunizations, HIV testing, mental health support, dental check-ups, oral health education, help with CalFresh and health insurance enrollment, Free Food Markets offering fresh produce and much more

Help us make NHCW a success by volunteering at one of our events! You could help hand out school supplies, assist at our Free Food Market, guide patients through services, or simply help us create a welcoming and fun environment. We can’t do it without you!
Volunteers are an integral part of the Clinics’ success, and community events are no exception. National Health Center Week (NHCW) is a week-long event that has many moving parts in which volunteers can support pre-event, during and post event – there is an opportunity for all ages to give back.
Pre-event logistics may include supporting donation drives, assembling giveaway kits, and organizing donations. During the NHCW events, volunteers support the engagement activations available to attendees. Engage with and give back to your community by joining us now!
