GIVING IS MAGIC

Celebrate generosity and creativity this Giving Tuesday

December 2, 2025 is Giving Tuesday – a global day of generosity that inspires people everywhere to give back to their communities.

For more than 50 years, Venice Family Clinic has been a cornerstone of care and compassion. From the Westside of Los Angeles to Inglewood to the South Bay and everywhere in between, we’ve been a trusted source of quality health care for people who otherwise might go without. We offer primary and specialty care, mental health support, dental care, vision services, street medicine, free food markets and more – all designed to help strengthen the health of our community every day.

This Giving Tuesday, you can help us continue this vital work, and celebrate the healing power of art along the way.

ART MEETS HEALTH

Creativity for a cause

Venice Family Clinic is proud to partner with artistic duo DABSMYLA and local ceramicist Robert Siegel to celebrate the intersection of art and health. Together, we’re turning art into action and inviting you to join us in supporting health care for everyone.

When you give by Tuesday, December 2, 2025, your generosity supports care for thousands of Angelenos and comes with a piece of art that reflects the beauty of giving.

Every gift helps Venice Family Clinic provide quality health care to more than 45,000 children, teens and adults across Los Angeles, because everyone deserves health – during the holiday season and all year round.

Give today and make a difference that lasts far beyond Giving Tuesday.

About DABSMYLA

Australian husband-and-wife visual artists, DABSMYLA, employ a shared design language that dictates subject matter, positioning, color theory and perspective. With this established framework and unspoken set of rules- strengthened by over a decade of working together simultaneously – their singular goal is to tell an expansive story that is wholly unique to their own experiences.

Panorama is of particular importance in DABSMYLA’s work. Micro points-of-view get referenced in larger scopes of vision – creating an interconnectedness amongst paintings both big and small.

Much in the same way a person unlocks a greater eye-scope as they lessen the zoom on a camera, one gets the understanding that a solitary subject is in fact but a minuscule element that makes up larger and recurring motifs.

There is nothing random or erroneous in DABSMYLA’s work; it’s planned and executed with the precision of a diamond heist and with the charm of a Technicolor world.

DABSMYLA enhance their works with immersive environments that enhance the sense of whimsy and grandeur contained inside paintings, mixed media and sculpture. This milieu isn’t simply adornment, but rather the tangible foundation for which everything else stands upon.

It’s this warmth and willingness to share which makes DABSMYLA’s art completely unique. Exploring tactile themes through sight, touch and sound, there are no boundaries so that the lines between real life and dreamscape are non-existent.

DABSMYLA is deeply committed to Venice Family Clinic’s mission. Their dedication and support has taken many forms, from contributing to the Clinic’s annual art auction fundraiser, to creating the mural that brightens its flagship site, the Chuck Lorre Rose Avenue Health and Wellness Center, to designing the image for their first-ever behavioral health van.

About Robert Siegel

Robert Siegel is a designer and craftsman of fine porcelain tableware, based in Southern California. His exuberance for good food and memorable dining experiences has made him a favorite to partner with amongst restaurateurs and chefs.

Taking a childhood interest in clay, Siegel earned a BFA in Ceramics at Miami University in Ohio, and lived in Jingdezhen, China between 2006 and 2008 to refine his craft under the tutelage of OG porcelain masters. Robert Siegel Studios opened in Los Angeles in 2010 creating and producing tableware for restaurants and homes across America.

Siegel’s passion comes from this lifelong love of crafting with clay and porcelain, from thousands of hours spent at the wheel, and he’d be doing it even if he never made a dime from it.

There is a deep respect for tradition, for the craft and process of making vessels, objects and art that have served humankind over many millennia. Siegel’s aesthetic is as much inspired by this as the contemporary culture of our modern lifestyles.

This work reflects the artist: minimalist, well-considered, but not overly polished. It’s humble yet confident in its offering. Each plate, bowl, or cup that Siegel crafts is intentionally designed and made with consideration for how you’ll enjoy it — it’s not just an object, but rather an expression of an invitation. It’s your place at the table. This is Siegel’s first collaboration with DABSMYLA and Venice Family Clinic.
