Venice Family Clinic's Simms/Mann Health and Wellness Center is proud to be the nation's first community health center to offer health, wellness, and integrative medicine programs. Through evidence-based services, the Simms/Mann Health and Wellness Center team treats the entire person holistically through a blend of conventional medical care and the alternative modalities of acupuncture, chiropractic and osteopathy. These efforts are complemented by an array of activities that enhance well-being, such as mental health support, stress management, nutrition and fitness education, and obesity prevention and management.
Seed funding for the Center was provided by The Simms/Mann Family Foundation in 2005, and without the Foundation’s vision and support, this first-ever Center would not have been established. In addition, the Foundation continues to generously support Venice Family Clinic’s work to this day. Collaborating partners include local colleges and universities, private foundations, businesses and individuals. Interns and residents rotating through the Simms/Mann Health and Wellness Center learn an integrative approach to medical care while enabling Venice Family Clinic to offer these valuable services to our patients.
Thanks to the generosity of The Simms/Mann Family Foundation, Venice Family Clinic’s low-income, uninsured and homeless patients have access to these life-changing services.
