For 45 years, Venice Family Clinic has celebrated the artists and collectors whose talent and generosity raises money for vital health care in our community. Our 2024 edition of Venice Family Clinic Art Walk + Auction explored the intersection of History, Health and Home. We reflected on the growth of the Clinic and of the Los Angeles art scene and recognized the critical role that building community and a sense of home plays in our well-being: physically, mentally and creatively.
The exhibition gave us a moment to celebrate an enormous breadth of Los Angeles-based talent – from the iconic founders of Venice Art Walk to the longstanding creatives who have carried the torch and those building the city’s artistic future. We were proud to feature a range of established, mid-career and emerging artists.
Proceeds from art sales fund Venice Family Clinic’s innovative and comprehensive programs and services which help the most vulnerable members of our community get and stay healthy.

Annie Lapin + Mixografia: Exclusive edition to benefit Venice Family Clinic
Inverted World (Hudson Valley Temporal Prism 1), 2024, Mixografia® print on handmade paper, 15.75 x 17.75 in., Edition #1 of 40
Known for her dynamic representation of landscapes that bring together digital sensibilities along with analog mark making, Lapin created a Mixografia print that gives volume and textures to magical topographies, both imagined and real.
The artist combines digital and traditional printing processes to weave together complex pictorial spaces that undulate new and out, and back and forth, all the while providing a visual journey to lands near and far, imagined and projected.

Bidding in an online auction
3. Find the lot (item) you want to bid on
On the lot page, choose the maximum price you’d like to bid from the dropdown menu, then click ‘Place Bid’. This will instruct the Bonhams website to place bids on your behalf, until your maximum bid is reached or until you win the lot at a lower price. Otherwise, press cancel.
Please note: If you haven’t registered, you will not see the ‘Place max bid’ dropdown menu. You’ll be directed to the Bidder Registration page when you try to place your bid.
4. Re-confirm your bid by clicking ‘Confirm Bid’
5. You have now placed your bid on the lot
You will receive an email confirming your bid, and the lot page will display ‘Winning’.
Changed your mind? You can increase your max bid right up until the lot closes, but you can’t decrease your max bid in an online-only auction.
6. The Bonhams website will place bids on your behalf until your maximum bid price is reached, or you win the lot at a lower price
If you are outbid, you will receive an email or push notification on the Bonhams app letting you know, with the option to increase your max bid. The lot page will display that you have been ‘outbid’.
7. Our online-only auctions have a rolling close: each lot is set to close one minute after the previous lot
Check the countdown clock connected to each individual lot to see its specific closing time.
8. If anyone bids in the last three minutes of an online auction-only, the sale will be automatically extended by three minutes to allow other bidders to participate
This process repeats until all bidding is complete.
9. What happens when I lose?
The page will confirm you have lost and the winning bid price. The price including premium will also appear within a few minutes of the lot closing. You do not need to take any further action.
10. What happens when I win?
The lot page will confirm you have won the lot and your winning bid price. The price including premium will also appear within a few minutes of the lot closing.
You’ll receive a confirmation via email after the close of the entire auction, as well as an invoice within one hour of the final lot closing containing next steps for after a Bonhams auction.
If you’d like assistance with bidding, we invite you to contact Bonhams Client Service: (323) 850-7500 bids.us@bonhams.com
We encourage you to place your maximum bid instead of the next incremental bid to increase your chances of winning the piece. It does not mean that you will you pay that price but it allows Bonhams to bid automatically for you, up to your maximum bid, to maintain your position as the highest bidder.
This means that there is another bidder that has a higher maximum bid than yours. You can either keep increasing your increment levels or consider placing your highest maximum bid to see if it beats theirs.
If you are the leading bidder, you will get an email saying that you are currently the high bidder. You will receive both text and email notifications if you’ve been outbid that will directly link you to the piece should you wish to continue bidding.
Check the countdown clock connected to each individual lot to see its specific closing time.
This process repeats until all bidding is complete.
