As of June 1, 2026, CalFresh recipients age 19-64 must work or volunteer 80 hours per month to continue to be eligible for benefits.

Venice Family Clinic can accommodate approximately 200 volunteers per month in a number of different volunteer opportunities to help people meet their work/volunteer requirements.

You can also make an appointment with your doctor to see if you qualify for an exemption.
