Hundreds of Artworks from Established and Emerging LA Artists to be Featured in Exhibition and Auction Honoring Past, Present, and Future, to Support the Nonprofit Community Health Center
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Los Angeles, CA – Venice Family Clinic (venicefamilyclinic.org), a nonprofit community health center dedicated to providing quality health care to people in need, announced today that the 47th annual Venice Family Clinic Art Exhibition + Auction (formerly Venice Art Walk) will take place May 8-17, 2026.
The exhibition, featuring the works of established, mid-career and emerging artists, will be free and open to the public at 910 Abbot Kinney in Venice with artwork available to view online, and bids accepted from May 8 through May 17. Proceeds from art sales will support the Clinic’s innovative and integrated approach to providing comprehensive health care services to more than 45,000 people across the Westside of Los Angeles, Inglewood, the South Bay and everywhere in between.
What began nearly 50 years ago as Venice Art Walk, a one-day fundraiser, has grown into Venice Family Clinic Art Exhibition + Auction—the longest running charity art exhibition in Los Angeles. This ten-day event honors Venice Family Clinic’s history and the extraordinary quality of the artists presented.
Alongside this year’s Signature Artist, Alison Saar, Venice Family Clinic Art Exhibition + Auction will feature a compelling selection of artists that exemplify the depth and diversity of the Los Angeles creative community. From internationally recognized pioneers to bold emerging voices, they will honor the past, spotlight the present and champion the future.
“My work is rooted in exploring history, identity, and the layered stories carried through materials, giving form to experiences that are often unseen or overlooked,” said Alison Saar. “To be part of Venice Family Clinic Art Exhibition + Auction is incredibly meaningful, as it extends that intention beyond the artwork itself, bringing people together through art to support care, dignity and community,” Saar continued.

In addition, this year’s exhibit will showcase works from over 150 artists, including Pop Art icon Ed Ruscha; Light and Space pioneer Helen Pashgian; East Village legends Kenny Scharf and Ed Moses; sculptor Alison Saar; conceptual artist Frances Stark; skate culture visionary Ed Templeton; ceramicist Peter Shire; Laddie John Dill, Max Hooper Schneider, Sula Bermúdez-Silverman, Umar Rashid, Nancy Evans and many more.
Thanks to the generosity of these pioneering artists, volunteers and patrons, Venice Family Clinic Art Exhibition + Auction has raised over $25+ million to provide vital health care to hundreds of thousands of Angelenos over the past four decades.
Art is selected by the Curatorial Committee led by Max Rippon and consists of Los Angeles gallerists and art advisors, including Cirrus Gallery, Rachel Barrett, Charlie James Gallery, Dominique Gallery, L.A. Louver, The Pit and The Lapis Press. Eliane Gans serves as curatorial advisor.

In 1979, Venice Family Clinic was on the verge of closing its doors when a group of Clinic supporters gathered with local artists to organize the first-ever Venice Art Walk to ensure the community continued to receive vital medical services. Frank Gehry played an integral role in bringing the event to life by appealing to the artists living and working in Venice’s thriving art scene. Artists such as Lita Albuquerque, John Baldessari, Larry Bell, Billy Al Bengston, Laddie John Dill, Ed Moses, and Ed Ruscha donated artwork to the auction and opened their studios to the public—a founding spirit that continues to inspire generations of artists. Light and Space pioneer Helen Pashgian and East Village legend Kenny Scharf, whose works hang in MoMA, the Guggenheim, and LACMA, are among the celebrated names now returning to this legacy event. These compassionate and generous individuals continue to inspire emerging voices like Emily Barker, Jackie Amezquita, April Bey, and Aaron Jupin to donate their work. Now known as the Venice Family Clinic Art Exhibition + Auction, more than $25 million cumulatively has been raised to support the Clinic’s mission.
