Blanca Andres, MD

Co-Interim Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Blanca Andres is currently the Co-Interim Chief Medical Officer, along with Dr. Karen Lamp. She started her journey at Venice Family Clinic volunteering as a clinical assistant while as an undergraduate at UCLA. In 1998, after completing residency and chief residency fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Department of Family Medicine, she returned to Venice Family Clinic as a staff physician. Her special interests in Family Medicine include Geriatrics and Adolescent health. She enjoys teaching students and residents in her role as an attending at The Robert Levine teen clinic, and in 2003 became double boarded in Adolescent Medicine. Dr. Andres transitioned Associate Medical Director in 2004 and has helped to recruit and mentor many of our current doctors, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. In 2019, she was awarded the Etz Chaim Award for Compassionate Care. Committed to workplace well-being, she completed the Psychiatry for Primary Care Fellowship in 2020, and the Clinician Health and Wellbeing Fellowship in 2021. She is fluent in Spanish, French and her native Romanian.
