Events

Venice Family Clinic produces numerous events throughout the year to raise funds, cultivate relationships with donors and volunteers, and recruit new supporters.

Silver Circle (March)
Venice Family Clinic hosts its annual Silver Circle Thank You Gala to thank members of Silver Circle, its major giving group, and recognize outstanding individuals and organizations who have made extraordinary efforts to help the Clinic meet the health needs of the low-income and uninsured.

Venice Art Walk & Auctions (May)
The Venice Art Walk & Auctions is the original L.A.-area art walk, created by Venice Family Clinic in 1979. The centerpiece is the Venice Art Walk & Auctions itself – which the Los Angeles Times calls “the granddaddy of them all” – featuring more than 50 artists’ studios and special exhibits, as well as a 300-piece silent art auction. It is complemented by several separately ticketed Art & Architecture Tours, which each year explore a different selection of architecturally significant homes.

Children’s Holiday Movie (December)
Each year, underprivileged children from the Venice Family Clinic community enjoy a private screening of a first-run movie, as well as delicious treats, holiday carols, and gifts from Santa Claus and his volunteer elves. Supporters can sponsor a child to attend the event, with all proceeds benefiting Venice Family Clinic’s pediatric programs in the coming year. .

Sack Lunch Series (Ongoing)
Sack Lunches are salon-style, ticketed luncheons featuring prominent women speaking on inspiring topics, with all proceeds benefiting Venice Family Clinic. Each gathering offers a unique and welcoming setting in which to learn about, and from, women who are making a difference in the world around them. The series is open to anyone who enjoys good food (you may bring your own sack lunch or the hosts will provide one), original venues, and outstanding speakers.

Shopping/Benefit Days (Ongoing)
Numerous local retailers host shopping/benefit days, from which a portion of a day’s proceeds are donated to Venice Family Clinic. The best way to stay informed of these events is by subscribing to the Clinic’s e-newsletter, Short Story, or “Liking” Venice Family Clinic on Facebook.
