Weekly visits of an hour and a half are required and begin at enrollment and continue until the child is 36 months of age. You and your child are also encouraged to attend parent/child play groups twice each month. Home visits and play group activities provide comprehensive services to support and strengthen the relationships between children and their parents. The quality of these relationships is essential for best child development outcomes during the early period of rapid social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Play groups provide a special opportunity for you and your child to bond. You will learn more about your child’s development and personality while participating in fun activities with your child. A nutritious snack or meal will be served during the play group. Play groups are for Mom, Dad and the enrolled child. Child development activities are planned by parents and staff with the guidance of the Partners for a Healthy Baby – a Home Visiting Curriculum for Families.
