Applying to CFEHS

Children First Early Head Start is free to income-eligible families that meet U.S. poverty income requirements; families with children from birth to 3-years old and/or prenatal families/pregnant mothers.

All families who meet eligibility criteria will be considered without regard to race, color, sex, gender, religion, sexual orientation, ethnic group identification, national origin or ancestry, or mental or physical disability.

Program:

  • Early Head Start
  • 180 children

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Lives in Venice, Mar Vista, Palms, West LA, Santa Monica, Culver City, Inglewood, Westchester, Robertson/Cadillac area
  • 100% Federal poverty level
  • Pregnant or child 0-36 months
  • Income Eligible
  • Selection Criteria

To be sure that we reach parents that may need a little extra support, the program scores each application. Families with high social support needs, children with disabilities, teen parents, those having limited income and those referred by our community partners are given a higher ranking than those having access to other avenues of assistance.

Continuing Enrollment:
Once you are enrolled in the program, your family will remain eligible for services up to child’s 3rd birthday.
