Advocacy

The advocacy team at Venice Family Clinic works to educate public officials on the needs of the uninsured and the agencies that provide primary health care to the uninsured. The Clinic utilizes numerous advocacy strategies, including:

  • e-mail alerts to supporters;
  • letters and faxes to elected officials and their staff;
  • collaboration with the Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County, the California Primary Care Association, and the National Association of Free Clinics;
  • meetings with elected and appointed officials; and public relations.

If you are interested in advocating on behalf of Venice Family Clinic and its patients, please contact Karen Lauterbach at 310.664.7513 or KLauterbach@mednet.ucla.edu.
