MOTHERHOOD, UNFRAMED: Art and Dialogue on Advancing Birth Equity & Community Birthwork Join us for an intimate gathering of patrons, community members and art lovers as we explore how stories of Black motherhood, told through art, connect to culturally responsive doula care, maternal health and family wellness. The event will include: a walkthrough of Giving You the Best That I Got at Leimert Park gallery Art+Practice, led by exhibition curator Dominique Clayton a panel conversation with curator Clayton and two experts from Venice Family Clinic: Fanta Bayoh, APRN FNP-C, and Cindy Lopez, an Indigenous birth worker who leads the Clinic’s new community-based doula training program at the Inglewood Crenshaw Children and Family Center Registration is required and space is limited.
